The Kubota SVL90-2 Compact Track Loader at 1/18 scale model is made entirely of plastic, yet the proportions and scale are accurate. By no means is this a toy. Instead this is an inexpensive model. Had this model at this scale (which is pretty big) been made of diecast metal, it would have cost easily over $100 and weigh about 3 pounds. (I know because it is similar in size to another metal model I stock).
At this price level, size and at its weight this piece could easily be confused as a toy. But if taken outside to the beach or to the sand box and played with, it would not last long.
As mentioned, the pieces are proportional and to scale, which means that the arms and links are actually very fragile since they are made of plastic.
The arm is movable in all the ways that the real thing moves. The shovel/scoop is also adjustable.
The interior of the cab is also accurate, showing the seat, the two side joy sticks and various other controls. The cab is enclosed with clear plastic. The door of the cab does not open
The coloring of the model along with the branding and markings all seem to be where they are supposed to be.
This model is pretty big, it measures about 8.inches, from the back to the front of the blade . From track to track, it measures 4.5 inches wide. From the ground to the top of the cab it measures 5 inches high.
The box measures 11" x 5" x 6.5"
