The Kubota KX080-4 Excavator 1/18 scale model is made entirely of plastic. The proportions and scale are accurate. By no means is this a toy. This is a display model.
The arm is movable in all the ways that the real thing moves, it can pivot along the vertical axis and the arm can extend on its two articulations. The shovel/scoop is also adjustable. The arm is made of two elements (pieces) and it has 3 cylinders, each of those 3 cylinders have rod that extends and contracts as the arm moves to different positions. The scoop is also adjustable and it also has a cylinder that expands and contracts. All in all, the mechanical links are all operable and accurate.
This model also has the optional (in the real world) blade attachment at the font and this blade is adjustable up and down and also rotated along the vertical axis.
The whole cab/upper part of the vehicle can rotate 360 degrees. The interior of the cab is also accurate, showing the seat, the two side joy sticks and the two levers at the center.
This model is pretty big, it measures about 8.25 inches, from the end of the tracks at the back to the front of the blade . From track to track, it measures 5 inches wide. From the ground to the top of the cab it measures 5 inches high.
The box measures 16.5" x 5.5" x 8"
