Saab 37 Viggen "The Show Must Go On" Swedish Air Force 1/72 Scale Diecast Metal Model by Aviation72

$ 84.99

1:72 Scale  Diecast Metal  – Saab 37 Viggen Swedish Air Force  – Length: 9"  Wingspan: 6”

 This Viggen model is a single seat model and includes a pilot figure. The cockpit can not open. The landing gear is nicely detailed and is fixed in the extended position. A stand where the model can be attached for display is included. The display stand is made of metal and requires some assembly with screws.

 The maker of the model, Aviation72, really did a good job with the model, the diecast metal construction feels quite heavy. The metal seems too be more rigid and thicker than comparable 1/72 scale models. The panel lines and details are very clear and crisp.What really caught my attention, however, is the way the markings and coloring are done.

The packaging labels these model as "Collectible Product" and "Not suitable for children under 14 years".

The box measures 10 inches by 10 inches by 4 inches.

The Saab 37 Viggen ("Thunderbolt or Tufted Duck")[Nb 1][3] is a Swedish single-seat, single-engine, short-medium range combat aircraft. Development work on the type was initiated at Saab in 1952 and, following the selection of a radical delta wing configuration, the resulting aircraft performed its first flight on 8 February 1967 and entered service in 21 June 1971. The Viggen holds the distinction of being the first canard design to be produced in quantity.
