1:72 Scale Metal Diecast – Mitsubishi/Boeing / McDonnell Douglass F-15J Eagle Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) TAC Meet White Dragon 2003– Length: 11" Wingspan: 7.25”
This F-15 model is single seat, the cockpit does not move, instead, two different cockpits are included for the open and close positions. The landing gear is optional, one can attach the landing gear or cover the wheel wells. A plastic stand included. Moreover, two different pieces of air breaks are included, one the extended position and one for the retracted.
This model comes with all possible attachments for. It has two pairs of short range AA missiles and one pair of external fuel tanks for the wings and then it has another two pairs of medium range AA missiles and a center line fuel tank for the fuselage.
The maker of the model, Hobby Master, really did a good job with the model, the panel lines and details are very crisp and one can see the little dots that represent the rivets holding down the panels.
This is really a "no-play" model or a "display-only" model. It is mostly metal and very heavy. It also has a number of antennas which look great but are very fragile. If you have small kids that like to play with your models, save yourself some frustration (and money) and wait till later to get a model like this one. The box is labeled as not suitable for children under 14.
The package measures 11" x 11" x 4"
The Mitsubishi F-15J/DJ Eagle is a twin-engine, all-weather air superiority fighter based on the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle in use by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). The F-15J was produced under license by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The subsequent F-15DJ and F-15J Kai variants were also produced. Japan is the largest customer of the F-15 Eagle outside the United States.[1] In addition to combat, F-15DJ roles include training. The F-15J Kai is a modernized version of the F-15J.
