The P.13a was a designed by Alexander M. Lippisch, the creator of the Me-163 Comet. This delta wing plane, without a tail, could fly at supersonic speeds using refined coal as fuel. Its unconventional design had no landing gear, using skids instead and a cockpit placed in the vertical stabilizer.
