This P-40 model is single seat and does NOT includes a pilot figure. The model comes attached/screwed to a removable display stand.

The main landing gear can be moved to be in the extended or retracted position. The wheel at the tail, however, is fixed in the extended position.

At 1:48 scale this model is unusually large and quite heavy. The upper part of the fuselage and wings are made of metal and the bottom part of the fuselage are made of plastic

This is really a "no-play" model or a "display-only" model. It is mostly metal and very heavy. It also has a number of antennas which look great but are very fragile. If you have small kids that like to play with your models, save yourself some frustration (and money) and wait till later to get a model like this one. The box is labeled as not suitable for children under 14.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. The P-40 design was a modification of the previous Curtiss P-36 Hawkwhich reduced development time and enabled a rapid entry into production and operational service. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in frontline service until the end of the war. It was the third most-produced American fighter, after the P-51 and P-47; by November 1944, when production of the P-40 ceased, 13,738 had been built,^[4] all at Curtiss-Wright Corporation's main production facilities at Buffalo, New York.
