Willys MB 1/4 Ton Army Truck - Jeep 1/18 Scale Diecast Metal Model by Welly
This model of the Willys MB 1/4 Ton Army Truck - Jeep is about 7.25 inches long, 3.5 inches wide and 3.75 inches high (to the top of the wind shield). It is highly detailed, with beautiful body paint and accurate markings. There are also tools and accessories along the sides and back of the vehicle Welly does very high quality models and this one is not the exception. headlights, taillights and turn signals are made of separate plastic pieces which makes the whole model look very realistic. Moreover, side mirrors are also made of separate pieces.
The engine compartment can be opened and the engine is nicely represented. The wind shield is hinged and can be folded up or down. There is a steering mechanism on the front wheels and the back wheels have suspension.
The model comes screwed/attached to a base that measures 13 inches by 6 and has a name plate of the model. The model can be detached of the base. The wheels are made of rubber and can rotate very smoothly (so be mindful if you display this without the base, don't let it roll off a desk or shelf because it won't survive a fall)
This is certainly NOT A TOY, it is made for display. There are many tools, handles and accessories along the sides of the model that makes it look realistic but also they are very fragile. The box is labeled as recommended for 14 and older.
Comes in a window box that measures 13" by 6.25" by 5".
The Willys MB (commonly known as a Jeep or jeep, formally as the U.S. Army Truck, 1/4 ton, 4x4) and the Ford GPW are four-wheel drive utility vehicles that were manufactured during World War II. Produced from 1941 to 1945, it evolved post-war into the civilian Jeep CJ, and inspired both an entire category of recreational 4WDs and several generations of military light utility vehicles.
