Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer Russian AF 1/170 Scale Diecast Model by DeAgostini

$ 19.99

1:170 Scale Diecast Metal  - Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer Russian Air Force – Length: 5.5"  Wingspan: 4”

This Su-24 model is a twin seat plane. The cockpit is glue shut. It has no pilot/crew figures included. The landing gear is modeled in the retracted position. A display stand is included.

This model is a Russian import, so the branding and text in the packaging is in Russian.

At 1/170 scale these models are quite small but from the photos you can see that the details and coloring are very realistic. These models are made of zinc based diecast metal and plastic parts. Weapons and attachments are already glued to the model. There is no assembly or painting needed; one just needs to take the model out of the package and display it.

These models come in what could be described as a disposable blister pack (sandwiched between two transparent plastic shells and then glued/attached to a piece of cardboard with the branding info. There is really nothing spectacular about the packaging, but at the end, the packaging is supposed to be disposable and with the sole function protecting the model, which it does very well.

This is really a "no-play" model or a "display-only" model. It also has a number of antennas which look great but are very fragile. If you have small kids that like to play with your models, save yourself some frustration (and money) and wait till later to get a model like this one. The box is labeled as not suitable for children under 14.

 The maker of this model, DeAgostini, did a good job with this model, specifically the color scheme and the markings are very crisp and clear. The panel lines and hatches are very nicely done (engraved).

The box measures at 8 inches by 7 inches by 2 inches.
