Boeing McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 F-18 Hornet Blue Angels - 1/72 Scale Diecast Model by Motor Max

$ 39.99

1:72 Scale  Metal Diecast - Boeing McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 F-18 Hornet Blue Angels – Length: 9.5"  Wingspan: 6.5”

This model is a single seat. No pilot figure is included. The landing gear is fixed in the extended position. A display stand is also included. The stand is optional and the model comes attached to it by screws.

This is really a "no-play" model or a "display-only" model. It is mostly metal and very heavy. It also has a number of antennas which look great but are very fragile. If you have small kids that like to play with your models, save yourself some frustration (and money) and wait till later to get a model like this one. The box is labeled as not suitable for children under 14.

The box measures 10 inches by 10 inches by 4 inches.

The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine, supersonic, all-weather, carrier-capable, multirole combat jet, designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft (hence the F/A designation). Designed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) and Northrop, the F/A-18 was derived from the latter's YF-17 in the 1970s for use by the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The Hornet is also used by the air forces of several other nations, and since 1986, by the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels.
