1:200 Scale Plastic Snap-Fit – Boeing 787-8 – Length:11.25" Wingspan: 12"
This Sky Marks 787-8 has great details, from the wing panels to the color and markings on the fuselage and engines. All is where it is supposed to be. The fuselage feels dense (heavy) than other brand models of the same scale and size. The reason for the difference in weight is because Sky Marks actually have a solid fuselage.
This model version has no landing gear it comes with a stand.
All in all the Sky Marks line of models is very high quality, the materials and details are very impressive.
Things to notice in this line:
- Accurate (more or less) shaped fan blades inside the engines
- The fan blades inside the engines CAN ROTATE (if you blow onto the turbines/engines, the fan blades will turn)
The packaging is also very good. All the parts have their own space in several plastic shells that are stacked on top or inside one another and are fitted into the box.
Aeroflot – Russian Airlines (Russian: ОАО "Аэрофло́т-Росси́йские авиали́нии", OAO Aeroflot-Rossiyskiye avialinii) (MCX: AFLT), commonly known as Aeroflot (English pronunciation: /ˈɛroʊˌflɔːt/ or i/ˌɛroʊˈflɔːt/) (Russian: Аэрофлот, English translation: "air fleet", pronounced [ɐɛrɐˈflot]), is the flag carrier and largest airline of the Russian Federation. The carrier operates domestic and international passenger services, mainly from its hub at Sheremetyevo International Airport.
Aeroflot is one of the oldest airlines in the world, tracing its history back to 1923. During the Soviet era, Aeroflot was the Soviet national airline and the largest airline in the world. Following the dissolution of the USSR, the carrier has been transformed from a state-run enterprise into a semi-privatised company which ranked 19th most profitable in the world in 2007. Aeroflot is still considered the de facto national airline of Russia. It is 51%-owned by the Russian Government. As of September 2013, the Aeroflot Group had 30,328 employees.
The company has embarked on a fleet modernisation programme, extensive route restructuring, and an image overhaul. The airline joined SkyTeam in April 2006, becoming the 10th member of the alliance.
